Villager models?

The villagers are a crapshoot. I never know what size or style I'll be getting. I post what I get so everybody can take a look but they are not lasting very long. You might want to consider a shop 2 model at fifty bucks off regular price.

16" Dhankuta style Villager.

Hi uncle Bill.
Just wanted to let you know the villager got here today. I got kind of tickled thinking how can somthing this big be so light?
It is a little longer than my 15" AK and as wide.

I see what you mean about the quality. I was expecting the blade to be a little rougher than what it was. The karda and chakma are what I expected. The blade is twisted a little ,but the edge is straight. I don't think it will affect its performance in any way.

I chopped a couple of nails with it and the edge turned under a little is all. I also took couple of whacks at my anvil log-stand and it sank in quite nicely, almost as well as the 15" Ang Khola, but that is due to the thinner blade.

I noticed when filing the small dents out that the blade seems to get just a tad harder. I think that will be a good thing though.
Nice "little" Kuhkuri.

I forgot to thank you for the little silver pin also. I am debating whether to put it on one of my caps or my "Gourd Dance" blanket.

Thanks again.

Hi Chiro75.
There is no such thing as "inferior quality" from Uncle Bill and H.I.
The villagers are just as strong and tough as the Shop 1 and Shop 2 models. They just don't look as good and have a real deep discount! This one was only $65.00 and I am very happy with it. I have the same guarantee as the regular H.I. Kuhkuris.

The way I understand the Shop 2 models is that the finish isn't quite as nice, but everything else is comparable. There is also a good discount on these. I am waiting for an 18" Ang Khola and would prefer that it came from shop 2 as the blades are a tad bit better according to Uncle Bill..... And they are using the "magic stone" to work the blade someway to help its strenght and edge holding ability. I have a 15" Ang Khola from Shop 1 and it is Impressive.I cannot relay the beauty and strength it has and I will be satisfied if my 18" AK comes from Shop 1 also. Since already have the one from Shop 1 is also another reason I would like the other one to come from Shop 2. I have one more besides the 18" AK on order an in about 4 months or so I will be getting a 12" Siraputi.
The Blood Blessing the Kuhkuris get and the "Spirit" they have makes them very desireable to have for me as well as many others here.

I am sure anyone here could have 'splained all that better than me,and probably will with fewer words too.

Chiro75 --

I have a couple of Uncle's blems that are very good deals and highly affordable. They have merely a few cosmetic flaws. Can't beat the prices!

Will email with more info in the morning.

Uncle Bill actually said the other day he thought the Shop 2 blades were actually better than the Shop 1 blades. I think Shop 2 hasn't gotten the fine detailed finishing down like Shop 1. Is this what you would say, Uncle?

You are right, Clay. The village kamis in shop 2 believe that beauty is a waste of time because the khukuri is meant to be used and if you use it you will surely destroy the beauty. I have explained to them that the US market needs both beauty and function and they are responding...slowly.

Chiro here's what we have today from shop 2:

20 inch Sirupati -- 3
15 inch Sirupati -- 1
British Army Service -- 1

And that's it until next shipment.
