Hello All,
Up for your consideration is a few of my vintage blades. My collection is taking a different direction and its time to move these. The barongs are from the the mid 1900's possibly between the 1930-1940's. They are in really nice shape for being over 70+ years old, the pictures really don't do them justice. I will accept paypal gift option or Postal money order. All prices include shipping in the US, if you want insurance throw in a few extra bucks. I will ship outside the US, but you are responsible for all shipping and once it leaves the US, I am not responsible.
First we have a really nice Barong, it is about 25 inches in the scabbard and about 21 inches from handle to blade tip. The scabbard is in very nice shape with nice engraved scroll work filled with some type of lime, the rattan wrap is original. The handle on this is loose and can be removed, I did not want to re-glue it. The handle has a few checks in it, the 6th pic shows a check, to me it looks like a knot check, and the next pic shows a small crack. This is a nice Barong. $200.00
Next is another Barong, this one is a bit smaller, it is about 20 1/2 inches in the scabbard and around 18 1/2 inches from handle to blade tip. The scabbard is engraved at the top and bottom. The top also has lime in the scrollwork to enhance it there is also lime in the scrollwork on the handle, there is no rattan wrap left on it. The blade is in very nice condition, the handle is loose but will not come off, again I did not want to mess with it. Overall a very nice Barong. Sold
Lastly we have a very nice Burmese Dha, it is around 20 inches in the scabbard and just under 19 inches from handle to blade tip. This is a nice Dha, the handle is a brass or bronze with a silver color decorative piece wrapped on it, the scabbard is wood with the brass/bronze wraps holding it together. The blade has a nice blood groove in the center. A nice vintage blade. Sold
Thanks for looking
