This is a Ivory stocked 10" Sheffield bowie made by Mr. W.E. Ankrom in 1981. I received this knife in trade, although one of the most beautiful knives i have ever seen. its not my style, i cant take it out and use it. I spoke with Mr. Ankrom and when i gave him the S/number, he knew exactly witch knife i had. he told me that it was one of his favorite knives that he had made. if you ordered this knife today it would be $2000.00 plus the cost of the ivory.the sheath has a tear on the back side where someone through the years stuck the blade through it. on the edge of the blade there is a ding smaller than the head of a pin, Mr Ankrom said it would be no problem to repair. the blade has not been sharpened or used, that i can tell. asking $1400.00 OBO also will trade
