Around Christmas,a fella on Facebook was selling a huge lot of blades from the Clyde Cutlery factory in Ohio that burned down. I was able to get some of them.
This set consists of :
12-3/4" OAL Clip point steak/butcher . It had " Hammer Forged" on the blade & it has the old time " Old Hickory " forge marks on it. I sanded a lot of the patia away & the etch is gone
6-3/4" Paring knife with 2-5/8" of cutting edge,I think I put some scratches on the blade sharpening with a diamond steel
Both have book matched olive wood and nickel silver pins
This is a unique pair of knives,I suspect these blades are 40 years old more or less, before I even started putting handles on.
$old shipped , in the States, for the pair
