This is a gorgeous, unique utility knife, from the 1940's would be my guess. Carl Schlieper with the eye,on one side of the main blades tang & Solingen Germany ,on the other side. It has beautiful cocobolo,or rosewood scales. Brass bail & pins, steel liners, carbon blades. Un used condition has a few pits here & there. Cam tangs on all 3 blades (no half stops)
Smooth, snappy & tight, pristine shape. It is really a great piece. I have the original box that a half dozen of these came in,if you want it. This must have had a marine theme,or purpose,as one tool on it ,is a "Marlin Spike" ,witch is used to separate rope strands when splicing lines, that is 2" long. Knife closed is 4",main spear is ground thin, has crescent pull & drawn swedge,3",7" open. The other blade is a screwdriver & a wire stripper,I'd say , 1.5". The bail is tight, not even broken in & has decorative filing on it
Just a really cool knife,I've only seen but 6 of these, probably they made alot, where they are, what condition, who knows.
This one was the pick of 6,new in the box, with the box Look at the pics, the fit & finish is of an ealier time, when things were different.
