I found this at a garage sale. It seems to be from the 50's and is severely pocket worn, the engraving on the shield has nearly worn off. The buck 110 is for size comparison. This toothpick makes a good EDC with the Case jack.

Wow. Nice!

Looks like a tang stamp from 1940-1964 era ('CASE' over 'XX', if I'm seeing it right?). Looks like bone scales too. Great patina.

Very well done, and from a garage sale too. I think I'm jealous. :D

EDIT:
Something strange seems to be going on. Came back to look at the pics again, and don't see them anymore in the OP. Is it just me, or is the 'upgraded' forum software messing with us?

It seems imageshack might be having server errors, but it should work now. The tang stamp is "CASE" over "XX". The bone is truly pocket worn!

OK, I'm seeing them back now.

And I'll repeat, VERY, VERY NICE. Aside from the beautiful 'pocket worn' appearance, that knife looks to be in great shape. Blade doesn't look like it's got much wear at all, for one that old.

This is over 50 years old and has the best walk and talk of any knife I own.

It's really a no brainer. Better knives. Cheaper. And thanks to eBay, it's almost as easy as buying a new Case, more fun, and you get something with soul (and centered blades and no gaps in the goddamn liners). :)

Yep I heading that way too.

Nice find brandonc.

Mike
