Vintage Case

I'd like to share a similar experience that I had a couple years ago. I picked up this Union Knifeworks knife because I thought it was a neat knife. I didn't begin to research it until a few days after I got it. Turns out that Union Knifeworks (not to be confused with Union Cutlery) was only in business from 1911-1913.

My initial reaction was "Wow, I've really got something here"! Then I discovered that it left the factory with 2 blades and someone had removed the secondary blade. For a couple hours after that I was disappointed but then I realized that I bought the knife because I liked it and before I knew anything about it. I realized that there really wasn't anything to be disappointed about.

To this day it's probably the coolest vintage knife I own.
