Vintage Clay Gault Kinfe, Golden Mammoth Skinner. circa 1960 Vascoware blade (a very high vanadium steel that has great wear resistance and an outstanding edge.) This knife was made for part of his Safari Club collection. It has beautiful carmel mammoth bark ivory scales, with gold pins, gold engraved scroll work on all sides of the guard. Gold inlaid chain on bottom of handle and gold butt cap. Phenomenal Elephant hide (ear) sheath with ceramic sharpener pocket, wrapped with Ostrich $800

BTT with new info and photo- Michael Lovett put a value on this knife of 1100 - 1200

here is what he said " I think I would put those Gaults at 800. to 900. for the first, and 1100. 1200 for the second one (this one). Gault's in Sheep Horn, and with the Elephant ears sheaths are bringing a premium. They are going up!

Maybe I am missing it but I don't see any photos. The youtube is a good idea, but it is hard to really see the knife up close on it. Photos would help.

WOW! That came up from the dungeon!! Looks like elephant to me. Got some Luchesse elepant boots, so that seems like the real deal.
