I just picked this up & love it. I had an early Woodsman but stupidly let it go. This Lady is just awesome. Post pics of your early Fiddlebacks.

That one is definitely old school. Nice!

somehow I have the sheath on the left to go with the knife on the right.

Andy said my knife was the first 12-15 he sold

For some reason that Lady strikes a chord. It may very well be one of the ones that caught my eye back in the day. That was definitely the model that I lusted over. Heck of a purchase! That's awesome.

Excellent score Bill! The old two tone laminated wood handles were what first attracted me to Fiddleback knives. Very cool looking indeed.

Panthera,
Thank you so much! I was really interested to find out about when it was made.

Just dumb luck that I happened on this one. I missed a similar Woodsman recently to another of our number and have been hoping to snag something like this. I have not been much of a scandi fan but that will not deter me from enjoying this knife one bit :)

Bill, that is beautiful. Just beautiful. I would have snagged that without a moment's hesitation.

My old school grab from a while back:

Luca,
That is just beautiful! It practically jumps off the screen!

Phillip,
I briefly had an OS Woodsman that looked exactly like that one. I sent it to Andy for a rehandle and he talked me out of doing it and i ended up with the newer style Woodsman. Still kicking myself!

Show off!
That is a great looking Woodsman Phillip.
Thanks
That one is actually one I picked up and Andy ended up with it.

I like them for the nostalgia. The new one looks much better IMHO.

It's easy to see the overgrown Ladyfinger design in that older model. I will say that, as fond as I am of the old style, the new style Woodsman is one of my favorite Fiddleback designs. The Woodsman was also the first Fiddleback I owned. I think that Andy I struck a deal on it when I was working on building his first website for Fiddleback.

Perhaps it's time to strike a new deal-- another knife for you, an update for them. (None of the knives I have, and few that I am trying to find out more about, are listed on their site-- including the "new for 2014" model, the Patch. :D

Best idea ever

Hmmm - I like where this is going; my wife won't, but we can worry about that later. Andy has actually asked for the site to be updated and at the start of 2017 I'd like to roll out some major changes. Specifically, I'd not only like to see the content updated, but I'd also like to change the layout some to accommodate larger pictures and different types of navigation/searching.
