Vintage GE canvas micarta value?

I've been traded some GE canvas micarta from the 50s or 60s that I have no use for. It looks brownish but from what I've read it's likely maroon that has oxidized on the surface.

I have 3 pieces, each 8.5x1.5x.5".

This is NOT a sale thread, just trying to figure a fair value and I'll post in the exchange. Looking on eBay the prices are all over the place and I don't see the exact same material listed.

Thanks for any assistance!

-Steve

Pricing a product you plan to sell in The Exchange is not really a good thing. You could just check Jantz, USA knifemakers, TKS, etc. and compare a sheet of Canvas Micarta or a set of scales.

However, these aren't worth much, so it is moot. Maybe worth $2 each stick......max.

Other than the vintage ivory paper micarta, is any of vintage stuff particularly valuable?

I know the maroon/brown stuff is pretty common.

The GE material is nice looking in my opinion, I would think it is more valuable than regular micarta but don't really know. I heard that it is likely 50's vintage but am not sure.

I have some of the same material.. or at least mine looks really close and I think is from the same source. It has a nice deep reddish brown exterior and fades to this lighter color. Next time I'll be sure to thin the scales from the inside to leave some of the aged color.

Thanks Stacy. I was under the impression that the vintage stuff was "true" micarta, and therefor different and more valuable than the readily available stuff.
I only asked because I can't find it anywhere to find a fair asking price. I thought asking value was one of the benefits of a paid membership.

If this thread is inappropriate please feel free to close it down.

I believe it is the same stuff you have Daniel, thanks for the picture. Looks much different than I would have expected. Nice though.

the ivory paper seems to be a value adder but i know westinghouse rag was a hateful high price when you could find any
