Vintage Fox Cutlery Co Harness Jack. This knife was discussed in BRL's subforum a while back and it was said that "the most likely date range for those knives is c1915-1922". There's a hairline pin crack on the mark side and some spots of oxidation but it's in remarkable condition for it's age. I suspect that it was a salesman sample (there's ink on the pile side but some of the numbers have worn off). Strong pull and snap. Half stops on both blades. SOLD

It's 420HC. Except for the File & Wire sowbelly trapper (that uses ATS-34), all of the Schatt & Morgan sowbelly knives use 420HC. The only Queen-made sowbelly knives with carbon blades are the old Winchester and Case Classics... and also the Moore Maker 5-blade and Texas Jack.
