There was a Gun Show today and of course I went hoping to find a Busse, but alas I failed again. All I could get was this Killer "Vintage John Greco". Price was a little high for my budget, so after a little BS, I walked away with my new "Vintage John Greco".

I don't know why I noticed it among the case of 20 Greco knives......19 stamped "Greco", 1 unmarked,.......19 with either micarta or natural handles.....1 cord wrapped, 19 satin or bead blasted finishes....1 suspiciously coated blade, and only 1 with a talon hole, I knew that Greco did this, so I was sure this was a truly rare piece of Greco's. I thought to myself that this must bee an anomaly of Greco knives, so I should get it. The seller assured me that it was stamped "somewhere" on the knife.....I will take his word on it. Hell, he even threw in a leather sheath:thumbup::thumbup:

Those honkers are FAT! I didn't realize how fat they really were. You always see them from the side. And I didn't know you could get all-black. Cool score!
 
Pretty nice find, Jason. If, after searching it thoroughly, you still can't find John's stamp on it, you ought to see if the guy'll give you some of your money back, too. :D
 
Isn't it great, you found what you went to the gun show for anyway. I suppose you told the seller and paid him the true value. Right? :;)

This one is around .2735, not really sure how much the coating plays in, but it is fatter than most of my coated 1/4"ers.

I don't know.......that is a similar one in the exchange for 100.....I think I should ask for some money back!
