My wife got me these from AG Russell about ten years ago. These are original Marble's knives from the Depression Era. The blades, pins and wood stock for the handles were made in 1935-1936. Mike Stewart (now of BRKT fame) had a couple of the vintage pieces around and used them as a guide to hand shape the rest of the handles. He then used vintage red brass pin stock to fit blades to handles and gave them a final sharpening. These aren't users, but they're a great piece of knife history (especially for a Michigan guy).

sweet looking knife, and interesting story for them.

is the one on the left hollow or convex? tricky to snap photos of both grinds...but i'm guessing convex since that's what both marbles and mike stewart seem famous for...

Both have convex grinds. They came two to a set with no sheaths. Originally, Marble's made similar knives that sold for the mighty sum of $3. During the Depression they sold these knives for $1.
