Vintage Old Leda Knife??

I just purchased a knife today that is a fixed blade knife that is between a bowie and a machete. The blade appears to say Leda Rio and in between there is stamped KH. The blade is about 12" long and has a wooden handle. Can anyone tell me about this knife? The blade is a nice thick piece of steel and the knife appears to be very well made. I am curious when it was made, approx. age etc. Any history would be great. Thanks
