This was purchased by me in the early 80's at Paragon Sporting Goods in NYC. It has resided in my climate controlled safe. It has been periodically wiped down with a protective layer of Marine Tuff Cloth© (reason for the no shine appearance). The sheath was stored separately with my other sheaths, hence the verdigris, which can be removed with a toothpick and soft cloth if you are so inclined.
