It looks like this one is close to dropping. This is another Vox design following the Odino and Kyomi. It's on my to-buy list. I'm thinking maybe the carbon fiber/satin version. Anyone else interested and which version appeals to you?
It looks to be larger, thinner and lighter than the Kyomi. I prefer the blade and handle shapes. Could be a good one.

I've been watching for them to drop and also eyeballing the Italo which recently released. I like the move to M390 on these new models. Never was a fan of N690 on the previous viper knives.

I've been looking forward to the Fortis. Nice size and much thinner/lighter than Odino and Kyomi so it should carry better. M390 is a major plus. Like with Kyomi I'll probably get the satin CF first and later stonewashed titanium.

You can see the Fortis at the beginning of this Viper Knives Blade Show 2016 video:

Thanks for posting the vid.
The Fortis seems like a good comparison to the Spyderco Advocate which is also expected this year. The Advocate is also a thinner, not over-built ti framelock flipper on bearings. Both have an opening hole too.

Anyone think the Fortis will be released in smaller version? Drawn to the slimness and weight and steel of this guy, but prefer the size of the Kyomi

The price on these is very nice if you can find a European retailer who will ship to the US (Lamnia will have them for like $175), so I'm definitely interested. It's the first of the Vox/Viper collaborations that has been in a size I prefer.

Looks like these just dropped. Available at at least one online retailer. Mine is on the way!

Yep, I ordered one too. Be careful on the deal spotting unless they're a BF paying dealer.

Thanks guys! I have been waiting for this one to drop for a while. It is everything I love in a folding knife for a very reasonable price. My EDC is a ZT0452CF, so I will get to see how this compares. I will post a quick report when I receive it.

I had to pick one up as well, the price is almost unfathomably low for this combination of materials and fit and finish. Seriously, no one can compete with this right now.

It really is. I'm very curious to have it in hand. If the fit and finish is on par with what else we've seen from other Maniago knives lately, this could be the best deal around for quite a while.

Opted for the Italo in orange G10 rather that the Fortis, definitely very happy with it and the price is absolutely unbeatable. Only issue I've had is that the action has gotten squeaky and dragged a few times, but it's worked itself out quickly and without need for lubrication or disassembly each time, so I can't be too upset.

Nice looking. Good materials. And seems to be a fair price.

It would be on my list but for the size -- how about a 3-inch version for easy EDCing and to comply with many laws?

The Viper Kyomi is close, but I think just over 3 inches. The Odino is a similar size. Both are also designed by Vox and are great knives. The Fortis looks to be by far the most refined in the lineup, and has superior materials (M390). But the others are great also.

I own the Odino.
It and the Kyomi are larger than I want.
A 3-inch Fortis would be just right for pocket-carry and obeying the law.

Looks like mine will be here on Monday. And now the waiting begins...
