Oil it. Maybe clean it first.Reviving a long dead thread here, but in case if any of you Orso owners are still around. I just got myself one and the action is pretty damn sluggish? I'm quite a knife newbie, what would you all do about it? Oil it? I tried loosening the pivots, but the torx just refuses to budge.
I picked up a g10 orso just a little bit back. It stayed in the box 99% of the time because of the deployment. It seemed like i had to grip the flipper and concentrate, then flick the devil out of to get it to fully open and lock. I actually returned it today in exchange for a zt 0350 which is what I wanted when I got persuaded into the viper since it was “the last one they had.” At least the shop was cool enough to exchange it.Reviving a long dead thread here, but in case if any of you Orso owners are still around. Interesting, I got myself a knife oil today, put it in. It did much better, but still it doesn't drop shut. I hope I don't have to relube very often. I wonder whether those pivot screws are meant to be loosen by the users?I picked up a g10 orso just a little bit back. It stayed in the box 99% of the time because of the deployment. I can’t imagine a company selling a $180 product with poor deployment with the expectations of the consumer being responsible to “fix” it so it works. I took the “hand made in Italy” that’s on the knife blade meaning someone’s hands touched that knife before mine and that someone should have performed a little better qc on both our parts. I’m not bashing as this was my first run in with viper but color me not impressed enough where I won’t go out of my way to procure one of their knives.Interesting, I got myself a knife oil today, put it in. I hear ya, a knife at that price point should be good out of the box.
