Greetings, and thank you for checking out this thread!
For more information about this knife, please visit my subforum HERE
Coles Notes; this knife was forged by Stuart Branson from W2 and is an upsized version of another knife that I designed and that he made. I received the ground and heat treated blank from Stuart, which I reprofiled for a different handle shape but kept the blade the same. I tapered the tang, hand finished the blade's bevels to a mirror finish and then etched in order to expose hamon. I attached the handle scales using an heirloom fitment, and finished them up real nice. Finally, I made the sheath, which has a beautiful, soft deerskin lining- assembled for scout style carry.
The price for this piece, shipped to the US, is $1100 USD plus shipping. Payment is via Paypal Goods and Services invoice. For Canadians in Canada, our dollar is accepted at par and payment via etransfer.
Because this is a collaborative work, (the first of its kind I might add, and likely not the last!) I will be splitting the proceeds 50/50 with Stuart Branson, and I tell you that just for transparency's sake.
These are the specs and dimensions;
steel- DHIII W2, hang forged, clayed hamon, sharp top edge
handle- heirloom fit purpleheart with vulcanized fiber liners
sheath- 9oz veg tan leather, hot packed, with soft deerskin lining
overall weight- 14.6oz
knife weight- 9.4oz
steel thickness- 3/16"
blade length- 6 3/8"
overall length- 11 9/16"
Thank you so much for taking a look! Please feel free to ask questions, either by DM or in this thread.
Cheers
