Here are some pictures of Virgil England's work in an exhibit that was in Memphis, TN last summer. Sorry for my poor photography skills.

So cool. I've handled and shot a few of these.

His work is SO out-of-the-box, he's in another zip code. LOL!

Thanks for these. Inspiring.

I have always admired Virgil's work, thanks for posting. Talking to him about a piece is really fun, he always has a story to tell.

the man's a genius, no question.

Virgil is a Mad Man! Cool stuff!

Had I known, I would have made to trip for a look. But I've seen plenty of his stuff at shows.

Amazing stuff, I would love to own something of him but unfortunately mostly too expensive. I've seen Virgil's work at the Solingen show, like that duo with the helmet case and I think his work is super cool.

Glad you guys appreciate it. It took a bit to upload all these. The show was based off of a fictional world called the Het Lands. There was a souvenir book you could buy that tells the story. It's a pretty neat book. It has a lot of Virgil's sketches and a long entertaining story about the Het Lands.

I was going to try and go by this coming Sunday. If they have any copies left I'll pick you up one.

Thank you so much for posting all the pictures. Virgel is the most facinating knife maker I have ever met. Not only from another zip code but He lives in the worlds he creates. We just dont get to see enough of his work.

No problem. Very well put. I would like to meet him.

It's an interesting contrast between his earlier work and his later. I've read a quote from Virgil several times that I always found quite funny. To paraphrase as closely as I can remember it, "I'd rather haul garbage than make another 4" drop point hunter." :D
