Definitely a good dayhike. I got there at 2 o'clock in the afternoon(it was dark before 6), and was out by 8 in the morning. I spend a lot of time taking pics and playing around off-trail, and slept about 11 of that 18 hours.
I was ready to head over there this morning (early), and then I got to thinking that just maybe I'm not in good enough shape to plunge into an 8 mile day hike alone. Pretty cool that there was a little snow over at Falls Creek SP. Those waterfalls get a bit "scary" when the water is really high. I have seen it where the cascades is just a big "roll" versus a waterfalls. I wouldn't even cross the swinging bridge that day because I knew... one false step and I was dead.
