Noticed that last couple of days when I log into BFC that weird things start happening on my computer, alleged virus software installs itself automatically and I get all kinds of warnings.

Anyone else?
 
MOST DEFINITELY!!! Just happened prior to this post and I was looking for a place to state the issue when I found this thread!

Since those ads have been introduced, I encounter those issues EVERY time I go to bladeforums.

AND...becoming a "paid" subscriber is NOT an option as my job was "outsourced" and $$$ is tight!

My more realistic option is unfortunately staying away:(

Posted earlier and in typical bladeforums style the members were told it was their problem no bladeforums. It hit two computers I have. I looked up the virus and its in ads in a ford truck forum.
Here is my problem with paying money not to see ads, I have to enter payment information with a virus lurking on the site.
 
I've turned off the default ads, we'll see what happens. As for payment methods, you can use paypal or the older non-automated system. The site isn't hosting viruses, it's certain banners coming in through the banner bid system.

Additionally, as a "registered user" performance due to the ads has been VERY slow, and when looking at the URL at the bottom of the screen, the URL taking a long time typically is preceeded by "ad".

Just yesterday, I also encountered the virus that claims you HAVE a virus and tries to get you to allow a download by showing phoney Trojan files that need to be eradicated.

Yeah, it's the banner bid system.
 
spent most of saturday and sunday trying to clean a virus off of my computer. no kids at home and my wife does not surf the web. this is typically the only site i am on besides work.
