Hey everyone. I will be taking a vacation in San Antonio, TX this week and will be visiting some friends of mine that I served overseas with. I know that I will visit the Alamo and the downtown area while i am there. For the majority of my time there I will be teaching one of my friends some basic blacksmithing skills with coal and he will be showing me some stuff about basic bladesmithing. I was wanting to visit at least one knifemaker or blacksmith in the area while I am there. The purpose of this visit will be to establish ties to that area, make some new acquaintances, look at the set up of the "shop" (my shop is the garage), talk shop, and just generally STB. If you drink, I can bring your beverage of choice, be it whiskey, beer, coke, or bottled water.
I am sure this is a very unorthodox approach to planning a vacation, but I like what we do.
