GP got the Volli in today. I need to pay some bills before I buy another knife, but the Volli is on my list for sure. It is thin but wide and feels very comfortable. The blade looks like a partial flat grind and it is S30V.
It is listed at 4.28 oz, but feels lighter. The assisted action is stupid fast to boot. I know I'm going to love it.

I pre-ordered one and received and email about it today. I should be getting it in the mail within a week. SUPER stoked.

We need pictures. :)

I'll get some when it comes in! ;)

I have to say, though... the production pictures don't look as nice as the pictures I looked at during pre-order. I bought this knife to "dress up", though... barrel spacers, strip the liners, polish a bit here and there... it'll be a nice piece of pocket jewelry. :D

The blade looks awkwardly narrow for the height of the handle, it's an aesthetic feature on some knives that irks me greatly. The preproduction pictures looked a bit better, maybe it's a just an anomaly of the angle of the picture.

I agree the pre-pro pictures looked better, but imo that is more in regards to the handles than the blade. But, I like narrow blades... I'm also a biiiig sodbuster fan. :D

I got the Volli in today. To my hands the 585 still feels better. I really wish BM made a 585 in S30V and G10, then i would have no need for the Volli. The Volli does suffer from the same kind of feel that the 300 has: a bit too much handle for the blade. It's not as bad as the 300, but close. I guess for 100 bux it's not to bad.

I got mine in the mail yesterday. Overall, I like it. It's a little thinner than I thought it would be, compared to a griptilian. The blade was centered, the lockup was solid, and it was shaving sharp out of box. The only thing I don't like is the safety mechanism on the spine. For me, it isn't a necessary feature, and I could have done without it. Now that I'm looking at it closely, you might be able to take the knife apart and remove it. I can't be sure just by looking, but I'm sure someone will take it apart and try. Anyway, it's a pretty nice knife, and it's definitely worth a look.

I totally agree with you Judas. I want a 580 and 585 in at least s30v steel and some g10 handles!!!

Received one. Nice design, but it's the fifth Axis I've bought with lock/pivot issues. The pivot was loose enough that i could shake the knife and feel the blade wiggle. I also could see the pivot washers wiggle. Unfortunately, the pivot bolt is nested behind the handle, so I'm not sure if I'm going to adjust it, or just return it. But, until BM gets the Axis QC sorted out, I'm not buying any more Axis equipped pieces.

I just opened the box...I like mine. No wiggle. Locks up tight.

It is marked "First Production" with a s/n in the low 100's. Does this make the knife more valuable? I am looking for an EDC knife and will put a few dings on it as time goes by.

A Volli and ZT 561 might seriously make me happy for the rest of the year.

I ended up with a Volli and a ZT 550, and I may indeed be done for the year with knife buying. I am leery about making such a declaration because I truly love buying a knife, but these are the two nicest knives I have bought in at least ten years, and probably twelve years.

I just found out about the Volli from this thread, and was getting all hot and bothered over it, then I realized it was assisted :grumpy:
