It was a fortunate year for me buying knives from many different makers here on BF in 2024.

They were all amazing.

But having said that, my dealings with Bart & Whitney Volunteer Knife Volunteer Knife & Tool was #1....a lot tied for #2 but all of them were a country mile behind VK&T.

Proud to call them neighbors in my home state and fortunate to have them to do business with!

Can't argue. Great knives. Great people.

Definitely worthy of our support.

They truly are great. I really want to score one of their “S” ground knives. I have a high saber ground model in 3V and love it. It’s a great size for hiking

Absolutely. Bart and Whitney are class acts. I always enjoy chatting with them both.

Also…that version 1 of the M4 is awesome!!

Yessir, thanks, it is. Great neutral handle-- no matter how you lay it down it's easy to index thoughtlessly.

And I've cut yards upon yards of cardboard with it and not only does it look practically new, all I've done is drag it lightly across my Sharpmaker a couple times to get it back to laser sharp.

Volunteer knife is awesome. IMO, their most amazing knife is their Kephart. Here is mine. Cuts like a laser. And, the grip is perfect, not too thin...just right.

They could not be better as far as knives or people to do business with. I have 6 blades from them, with another coming. Everything from communication, packaging, sheaths, ergonomics, fit & finish is just outstanding.28F38502-5195-4D56-B843-7295EAA7C2EA.jpg

What’s the best way to get a list of their models, specs and options?
And if you have questions, Bart and Whitney are great about corresponding via email or PM. I can’t say enough positive things about them or the knives.

I would like to join the chorus praising Volunteer Knife & Tool. I had gotten the feeling I was missing out as their knives sold so quickly on BF. I communicated with them about a couple of their models and got a very rapid response, was sent more information and decided to purchase, literally within hours of my initial inquiry. The purchase itself was a study in first class customer service. Communicative, timely, pleasant, informative. The knife arrived, and again, the first class packaging (and protection) stood out. I can't be more effusive in praising Bart & Whitney's operation. Best of all, I got a great knife in the deal!

I am glad you decided to purchase from them. Which model did you get?
