Okay, time to thin things out a bit. Payment by USPS money order or Paypal (split fees so add 1.5%). Will happily sell to all 50 United States, and listed prices include shipping/insurance/delivery confirmation. I will sell to international buyers provided you cover the extra shipping and understand that I have absolutely NO control over what happens once a knife leaves the US and will not be held responsible if it fails to clear customs in your country. I will not lie on customs forms for you, so if you can not legally import something, do not buy it! If any additional photos are needed, just ask and be specific as to what you want a better look at. Knife will come to you covered in Ren Wax for corrosion protection in transit.
If you want it, post “I’ll take it” here and send me a PM or email me through Bladeforums. Don’t panic if I don’t get back to you immediately as Bladeforums is blocked by the firewall at work, so I catch up in evenings.
1) Steve Voorhis Large Trapper. You don’t see these around very often as Steve is mostly a fixed blade maker. His usual mirror-polished 5160 for the blades, nickel bolsters with black micarta handle. There are a few light spots on the micarta in the pictures which are just dust/lint from the cloth I used to wipe it down. Knife has never been used, sharpened or carried, however it has acquired opening/handling marks over the years which I’ve done my best to capture:
Bolsters have some scuffing of the mirror finish. The front bolster on one side has the only mark I would list as “damage” in a light scratch across it which was there when I bought it from another collector. Blades have opening swirls and some rub marks on the skinning blade from the brass liners. Please keep in mind that hi-def, macro photography makes these flaws look giant. One more flaw is an edge that was finished incorrectly between the bolster and handle scale, look at the fifth picture to see what I mean. This is original to the knife, not something that happened to it.
I would rate the pull on the blades as about a 7/10 or 8/10, the back springs are strong and open/close with authority. Knife is 5” closed with 4” blades that are just shy of 1/8” thick.
$295 ............. Now $250
