Vosteed quality vs Civivi?

How does the quality of Vosteed knives compare to other knives at the same price points...specifically Civivi knives?

The two models from Vosteed that fall into the specs of my next EDC are the Porcupine and the Marten. But I'm not sure how the quality of the Vosteed knives compares to that of the Elementum 2, Mini Shakan, and the Faeger knives I'm considering from Civivi.

Thanks for anything you can tell me about the quality of the Vosteed knives.

*btw: this will be my last post concerning this EDC purchase...thank you for your patience with all my questions as I have narrowed down my choices

Next time, it might be a good idea to consolidate the discussion into one thread rather than creating multiple threads unnecessarily.
You're 100% correct. My apologies. I promise to learn from my mistake.

I only have two of each, but I feel the quality of Civivi is slightly higher than Vosteed. However, I like the Vosteed designs better. Close enough to be a wash, IMO.

Hello .
It's me again .
Of course you realize that if we keep this up we will be thrown out for being China simpothizers .
I buy USA and made just up the road from where I live ; Spyderco / Golden a whole lot more (couple hundred of 'em) and Case Knives (at least a hundred of 'em ) more than anything else so . . .
well . . .
that's my defence for occasionally straying .

Back to the question at hand :
I was on a Vosteed jag there last year ; bought several , modded most of them . . . the fairly tiny Nightshade . I dig that knife and made some super useful daily users from it . Just great as it comes out of the box too .

There was some talk in the reviews of the edge contacting the insided of the handle when it is swung closed (axis lock) but of the many I bought ALL were perfect and no blade edge contact problem . I've had that prob with more than one Boker . The main American head quarters for Boker is about as far way from me as Spyderco (in Denver) . Carried and used and really admired my Boker today = Single Blade Trapper with Desert Iron Wood handle . Reprofiled "to da Max" and polished the heck out of the edge . Dang I like that knife ! ! !

I'll put up with some problems , mechanical or geographical , if I love the knife !
A knife collecting addict has got to do what a knife collecting addict has got to do .😵‍💫

(((Vosteed = Good Quality)))

Oh and . . .
with a handle like "Triple B"
you will just have to get a Shawn Huston "Big Brown Bear" (BBB) fixed blade knife .
He makes them REAL THINNNN but just right as far as strength .

Vosteed has been very good to me. Same quality as Civivi but their designs speak to me much more. The Psyop 299 is probably my favorite as it’s such a useful edc design. I’d stack Vosteed against any other budget brand and they have a very nice US presence if you ever need any assistance.
