That's why we hear the B.S. about stamping weakening blades.

Lasering is CHEEP!!!

Looks cheap, too.

I will never own a lasered Buck knife.
 
I would have to say a custom shop 112...This is NOT a new idea,search the forum and you will find for YEARS now Buck collectors have wanted a CS 112. To many the tang stamp is importent too, there should be a new stamp to reflect the new shop...I hope bolster engraving is a option along with BG-42 or SV-30 steel. Add a drop point option...Yea! And why not a really fancy tooled sheath? With your intitals if you like?? Thats cheep to do...Add a few options for a display case...
 
I'm okay with the steel choices I guess....it doesn't get much better than S30V in my opinion.

But I really dislike that "Designer's Choice" stamp.:thumbdn:

Well, I searched the Forum...and I only found 6 Buck collectors who want a CS 112...and three of them is you... :D
 
I'd buy a custom 112 before a custom 110. Smaller means it probably would be cheaper. I don't give a hoot about the stamp, but something better than 420HC would be a welcome change. Buck has some very nice, very long-lived designs, but when they attempt to modernize, they throw out the baby with the bath water. I don't want a Rush or an assisted something or other, I want a 55 or a 112 with better steel.
 
screw all that other stuff. get some blade steels that will compete with the other knife manufacturers today! heck a zdp-189 buck would be the schizzle! or D2 or even a VG-10 110 would be kickazzzz!!!! make some carbin fibor scales for the 110, i seen a guy here has 2 of em, contacted him a dozen times to sell me one and he wont. (#@%$er) some g-10 scales as well or a pocket clip and a thumb-stud. how about ti liners and bolsters???? its a great knife just needs a face lift that all. imho!!!!

BG-42...SV-30 will do just fine!! I relly belive a CS 112 would make Buck money! Looking into the future..One week after the announcement orders will total 167...or more! with 30 or so every month after that..
 
I would like to see the option of getting a matching 112 for a custom 110. :thumbup: The blade options would be a good option also. :thumbup: Then a matching 119 or 120 would be nice. I really like my G10 scaled 110 in BG42, started carrying one of them at times when I feel like carrying a dressed up 110.:D:D HL
 
Custom 112 with nickle bolsters and BLACK DERLIN scales. A Hulk Hogan to my 300s..would look extra good in display case but it would be nice to have silver and black on the belt with silver and black in the pocket. Bet scooter guys would want one to go with black leathers.

Dang Rocinate, I want some of those brain power vitamins your taking. Good ideas on the 112 and subsequent blade stampings. I'd go for a drop point 110 or 112 is the existing special steels w/ the blade stamping you mentioned. DM
 
I would rather see them add the 119 special to the line up. I could see that one selling very well. I know I'd buy one as soon as I could.

A 110 with a blade more like a personal with a nice upsweep and an almost horizontal false edge, that would be cool.
