Do not fear, I discount everyone's opinions and go with my own. What can I say, it's my training.:);)
 
For what its worth, I teach making Winter shelters for the men and wemon in the Cdn forces, Also for the local SAR group, and not to toot my own horn, but when its -40 and colder, a shelter when lost, or standed is necessary, Also, most of the shelters I have done are made to work on them selves with out a fire, Its more of an EE shelter.

That said, I chose Ben's, he did a great job. Not that the other didn't its just I have to pick one and his was it.

Sounds good to me. I had a hard time choosing. I think the top three vote getters all did great shelters. Congrats to all 3 winners!:thumbup:

ya this thing has been neck and neck, its crazy! And thanks guys for the compliments, but honestly i never would have gone out to try this if it hadnt been for jeff and rat cutlery. My shelter probably wouldnt have been that good with out reading the posts of every one who went befor me, so congrats to all of us! I owe a huge thanks to joe fowler, man with out you i would never have figured out how to post pics up here in the first place!!! And hell what can any of us say about jeff and rat cutlery.... every post i read you guys continue to amaze me! if its not standing behind your product 150% your uping prizes for us, or hell even coming up with a contest like this in the first place to get us off our asses! I know im only one person, but rat you have a life customer in me, and i will continue to spread the word.

We're going to shut this down sometime Sunday. It's pretty obvious who the top 3 are and we have decided to award the same prize for all 3 places since they were all that good.
 
Thanks for the update. I don't know what these guys are talking about being anxious. I mean sure I've added a bottle of Pepto to my EDC and I'll need to repaint the "F5" on my keyboard from refreshing the poll, but other than that I'm cool as a cucumber. :D
 
Adam, Ben and Joe: Please email your mailing address to mike@ratcutlery.com and also copy jeff@ratcutlery.com. In your email note that you were one of the winners on the BFs shelter contest and also note whether you want an RC-5 or RC-6 with your RAT Pack, and also what color of RAT Pack (Black or Khaki). Now, I'm not sure when the next shipments of RAT packs will be here so you may have to wait a while to get these but you will get it as soon as they come in. Good job to all of you guys. This contest is over with. Will leave this thread open though.
