VOTE-The " Thank the Military" Fixed Blade Build-Off!

TTT Would like to see more votes on these fine knives. Kinda fun to watch. By the way, thanks to everyone who made a knife for this, it is a great way to say thanks. I would jump in but I have finally decided I need to leave it to the Pro's!
I will however stick around on BF to see what you guys are up to.

Pictures are there. Take some time and look through the build threads that David linked there. But to help you out, a few of us have posted finished pics in the thread ;).

Hi - the pics are in the threads linked to. I think the reason Dave didn't put the pics in the thread is because there is more to the contest than simply a knife photo. Part of it was the making of the knife and part was the giving away. I don't know if it would be that easy to give a good rounded sense of each person's effort with just a finished knife pic.

BTTT. I'd like to see this thread bumped once or twice a day until the voting ends. It was a fun build with lots of great knives completed. If you haven't checked out all the builds, take some time to do so when you have a chance. Everyone has really had a unique take on completing the knives, and we've got a number of happy service members because of it. Kudos to everyone who participated!

...personally I just liked the idea of putting my knife in someone's hands going over......that feeling can't be beat.....and doubt he would care to see a bunch of pictures of how it was built.....

I don't disagree with you, I was just letting folks know who didn't feel like David did a good job by not posting the pics. The contest was for folks to write up and photo their progress as well as complete and give away the knife, so I think it takes something away from their efforts if everyone just jumps to the end photo and makes a call. That's just how I saw it, not necessarily right or wrong.

I know I suck! :p Seriously, the contest should not only be judged by the knife, but also the build, the write-up and the give away along with pics. Its a whole package. Please take the time to read each build and vote from that. There is actually some valuable info in these posts. Thats a bonus!:D

I think that it is great that so many took part. Supporting our men and women in uniform is one of the greatest things that you can do. Congrats all!!

To the top one more time for the weekend crowd. Have a great 3 day weekend (for most) everyone!

The official winner of the Military Build-Off is Cap Hayes (AcirdSaint). Congratulations! In my opinion everybody that participated are winners. I would like to personally thank each and every one of you. And please remember our military members today. Both the ones that have gave all and ones currently serving. Thank you for the freedoms you provide for us. God bless each and every one of you. Come home safe.

Congratulations, Cap! A great knife that will be put to good use by the recipient, I'm sure. Thanks to all our men and women in uniform for the service they provide to this country! May God bless you all!
