VTAC Rehandling

I've got a question I've been meaning to ask.

It has been mentioned in this forum several times recently that rehandling a Cold Steel vtac is a good move. I've been considering getting one so I gotta wonder- what is the best replacement choice with the price considered? I'm not super-cheap but I don't want to end up spending ten times as much for the handle as the head.


Also what is everyone's opinion on the idea handle length for use as a weapon?
