Was thinking about trying a VTAC, I would not need it for any sort of breaching but think the history of it as well as its durability/size/weight would make it useful. As far as taking it on a camping trip can anyone tell me how well it throws and if it would be decent cutting brush, small wood?

Also I read that ATC will regrind it shaving sharp if you want, it being ground stock for breaching. Think an edge that sharp would deform after throwing & light-medium chopping?

I guess the head to handle connection is great?

The edge holds up very well. I have thrown a few for years now they throw very well and I spend very little time on the edges. Have even used them for yard work, camping, fishing and hunting trips. Get one you will like it....

The first thing I noticed throwing the VTAC . . . the super thermo death plastic handle will allow the thing to easily clear 6 paces in reverse on a bad throw. Watch out. :)
