Vulcanized fiber liners.

I occasionally use the fibre liners from Jephco. I specifically asked him about this concern before I bought any. He assured me that while some VF material is more hygroscopic the stuff he sells is high quality and very low susceptibility to absorbing moisture. I haven't had any problems with the Jephco VF material yet.

For Canadian makers, I had the same conversation with Rob at Knifemaker.ca. I haven't had any problems.

On a related note, you can see a hammer mark on the yellow micarta. This is from another extremely scientific test I ran concerning the strength of Bob Smith maxi cure CA glue. It sticks. 20 whacks with a hammer and I couldn't get any separation.
