Vulcan's Chariot is ready to tune.

Man, that is SWEET:cool: Could you tell us a bit about the burners - what size are they, how's the air delivered, etc...?

Bennett,
Each of the 3/4 inch burners has its own needle valve that allows control of the gas to each individual burner. I added a stainless burner throat to each of the black iron pipe burners on the inside of the forge. They are attached with set screws.
The air is supplied through the 1 1/4" stainless tubes running from the manifold. The air is controlled by two rheostats, one for the low burn and one for the high burn.
The gas input has two solenoids one for the low burn the other running through a pid controller to operate the high burn.
In other words it has a manual system and an automated system running side by side.
I will give some more detail for those interested when I post pictures of the tunning next week.

Whoa man, I was thinking the same thing!

Fred, that just rocks. Can't wait to hear the next report. I'd agree you better nail that bad boy down!
Dave,
I did tack weld the front forge plate to the table just in case. Theres no altimeter on it so I may be all rite.:D
