Forged blade of W-1 tool steel, clay heat treated with a nice hamon. The blade measures 5 3/4" with a 4 1/2" handle of African Blackwood. The press fitted guard is titanium. The knife is a take down piece, just unscrew the finial and it will disassemble.

The blade is hand rubbed to 1200, and is VERY crisp. As good a finish as I have put on a blade. The spine is ridged, like a Japanese sword. It comes with an exotic leather zipper case, shipped CONUS for REMOVED

Thanks,

I looked at it Bailey. I couldn't comment because I really didn't know what to say. I love your work. I could go on all day saying how nice it is but you've heard it all before. This is another great knife from you. If you want my critique, here it is.. I would have made the guard wider and the blade narrower with the tip higher. Maybe add some spacers to give the handle some color like alternating black, metal, black, metal, etc. I hope this is what you wanted to hear. I know I do when I show my stuff:thumbup:

Bailey,

I think it is a very nice piece and having it be of takedown construction is amazing. There is nothing I would want changed, were I to purchase this knife.

I didn't comment before just because as soon as I looked at the picture I had to close it, as I knew it would haunt me. ;)

Superb as always; I like it as-is and also like the suggestions Ray made. Were my gainful employment a little more gainful I would be all over it, I can tell it fits my hand just looking at that handle...

Very nice finish, looks outstanding. I just sent Ray a cheque to pay for what he's making for me. Knife money is depeletd right now.

Like ray, I looked at it and immediatly thought......that looks great, I like it and I want it......but saddly I can't afford it. I did not think those comments were very constructive so I refrained from posting so as to not sound like a stupid school kid:rolleyes:

It is great though. I especially like the handle. It looks very comfortable:thumbup:

Who is in that picture? That is nasty spreading that around. Are you trying to torture the boys!

I appreciate the comments. I am not married to these things, but am always wanting to know the likes and dislikes. I totally understand about that disease called lackafundage. It hits me all the time.

I looked. I like it. It's just out of my league in terms of price. Things will be different once my daughter is out on her own, and my wife is working.

BTW, my daughter is almost nine months old. :)

Simply awesome. I wish I had enough money to buy that one.

Just saw it for the first time. Your work is beautiful as always Bailey. One of these days I'll get brave enough to make a take-down but, for now I'll just admire yours.
;)

That is extremely nice, Bailey. Right up my alley, as you very well know.
You also know why I can't do it right now.:D
