BTW- When you told me straight grained ironwood on the phone, I got the idea it was an ugly old chunk of wood, but that is a GORGEOUS piece.

And I think we are going to have to come up with a word that has more umph than "clean"!!!!! :)

That knife looks awesome. I really like the hamon, but your handles are what always look so right to me. I really like the wood too. Very nice all the way around.

I don't usually comment on the custom knife thread, and I don't care for display knives... but that is really beautiful. I'd love to hold it in my hand and admire it from up close. Well done.
