Hi Fellas:

Some knives go together better than others - this one was sweet. The S-guard is a full guard - not bolsters. I took the concave grinds to 2000 grit and lightly etched them to show this splendid hamon. The English Walnut scales have marblecake figure with crotch flame figure. I hope you like it! The first "I'll take it" gets it. $425 plus $15 shipping. Paypal preferred to my account tksteingass@frontier.com - I also accept USPS money orders and personal checks. Maker's lifetime common sense warranty and free sharpening.

Best regards,

TK

Very pretty. Spectacular wood. Metal's not bad either. You're gradually learning how to make a proper knife.:D

Thanks Ben - feel free to sharpen this on cement blocks after you buy it. :D

Very nice!! I really like the full "S guard" bolster...great design!!

Thanks Robert - glad you like it.

Just to be accurate, this is a complete guard - not bolsters which are essentially two pieces of metal pinned to the either side of the knife. The guard is machined from a 1 1/2" x 3/4" thick bar of 416 SS, then notched and soldered to the blade. :)

Sounds like the kind of woman you should stay away from. Nice knife, though.

I kinda like that type of woman myself. Not a big recurve fan but this knife is brilliant.

Let's keep my thread discussion clean please. Crotch flame is a bona fide term used to describe the figure - its commonly used in the gunstock making trade. Thanks. :)

TK, I think you have it mixed up by telling me "you're killing me". You're the one killing me!!! This is one beautiful knife.

TK, you're got it all wrong telling me that I'm killing you. You are the one killing me. This is one beautiful piece. I really like the pins and the recurve blade.

Tony: Glad you like it! This was a tedious and challenging build - just like yours was!!

TK, You think the last knife you made me was challenging. Wait till you see what I have in mind for you for the next one! I've been working on a sketch and will mail it to you soon.

Looking forward to seeing it Tony - I need more bullets. :D
