I'm about to take the plunge on a new computer worse yet in the fence now Apple on one side and PC on the other. Then there's that third option going with open source on a PC platform. My head just spins but I need to get out of the "dark ages " Tony what did you get ??

I got a laptop PC. I got a solid state hard drive and lightning fast processor. And it still doesn't work properly. I contacted my service provider and they're sending a technician out tomorrow. I need to get this damn thing fixed before Allen's thread on Wednesday!

Well, did the Tech show up and fix or find anything?? That's got to be frustrating as all get out.

Nope...but I had a long and how shall we say this...intense discussion on the phone with the tech office. They claim they can remedy some of the situation from there. I think they're afraid to come here. Anyway...after I was done with them they agreed to provide a new modem...delivered tomorrow. We shall see.
