Brownshoe-I have several dozen WKC knives, never had any problems keeping an edge on one. It is possible that one got out with a less that optimal HT. Have you talked to Newt about it?
From your description, you have a G-45. This was meant to be a sticky-poker.

Sent the knife to me and I will check to see if it has a bad heat treat? If it has a bad heat treat due to my production I will replace it with a new knife of the same type free of charge. I will also make or replace the KYDEX sheath that is bad free of charge even if the problem isn't mine.

PS; I am having some problems with my new computer system so keep trying. This is the least of my problems at present.

Thanks for the offer Mr. Livesay. The blade design is cute but it has since been modified by various people with notches on the top blade, attempted removal of the finish, some minor tip work and is now used for mumbley peg. It also makes a nice compact throwing knife and the 1095 doesn't crack. It's not a legitimate candidate for repair. To mitigate my comments, I am sure the blade was produced around 1999 or earlier and is probably not representative of current production.

Martensite nice pic,ya just gotta love the air assault,I have one and use it daily, what a great blade.........also the best feeling handle period imho.

Looks like most of us are satisfied with Newt Livesay and his Wicked knives.
