W&S Calendar Discussion Here.

So do could we submit pictures we've taken already?

LOL, Bear - show 'em here. I haven't really thought this through all that much. It kind of started as a joke, really to compliment the ladies, and now it seems to have taken hold!

We'd have to have someone who wants to take on the project, because I am swamped with other stuff, which would delay it.

Man you split up the threads and now I am all confused, lol. Man I hope this calender idea takes off, that would be cool. Either approach would be fine with me.

OK. To do this right you need hot dirty outdoorsy chicks with knives. Nothing else will do.

Girls batoning, making fire, chopping wood, etc. Also shots of big knives hanging off the hip are good.

And for aquatic survival a dive knife strapped to the leg.

Sounds like a good approach to me.

Like the Red Scorpion Six pics.

Only better.

Great idea, but it might take a while to get northern women in little clothing outside with a professional photographer, at least with the weather we have here. I think an in action scenic and a posed scenic calendar may be in order.

Well, I can't speak for anyone else's model but Erin's done about five shoots in the snow before...sure she'd do it any time a photog is available.

What do you figure, is this Canadian enough or what?

Sorry it never got colour temperature corrected so looks a little blue!

My wife is now saying why don't the men do one for the women, man that would look scary eh !!!!

It's times like this that I am thankful for the capitalistic laws of supply and demand...thankfully there is no demand for a calendar of men on this site, so there is no temptation to supply one!

Of course maybe there is a silent demand, but I have never seen a thread about it and am confident such a thread would drop like a stone...thanks Adam Smith!

Somewhat funny vaguely related story: out shooting pumpkins one time a couple of years ago they were giving away door prizes...my gf won a fireman calendar. Her expression was hysterical, a mix of shock and revulsion. "Um, no," she said, "maybe if you had one of girls."

So there you have it: a cheesecake calendar works for both genders, I rest my case.

glam & cheesecake is great and all but I do think that focusing more on natural beauty would be best; beautiful women in beautiful places kinda thing. Maybe its because I'm more immersed in it that it doesn't really do anything for me (glam that is.) I think what would be more rewarding to see (and more to the original idea) would be a calendar created out of selected member submitted photos. I think what attracted most of us to our women is the fact that they share the same love for the outdoors we do and its a big "turn-on" to see them getting just as sweaty and dirty as us out there. Additionally I think it would be a great way to honor them and show them just how much we love and appreciate them; and how beautiful we think they are when they may not be feeling their prettiest.
Just a thought.

I tend to think this is the approach that would yield the widest participation. Of course, there's no reason to limit ourselves to a single approach if we have folks willing to pic up the ball and run with it. (Sorry, I know, it's a football metaphor. Arghh! :D)
