Definitely going to have to follow suit hereI voted lockback, and of course generous and talented.![]()
Calling it a treasure is appropriate! Wonderful work.Seems most of us like polls and we haven't had one for a while so this one is included for your entertainment and my learning opportunity.
One of our porch regulars has recently upgraded her membership to "Knifemaker / Craftsman / Service Provider" status. I for one am thrilled that we soon, should be seeing some quality Scrimshaw, done by a true artist and made available on the "Knife Exchange".
When I was gifted the following example of her fine work, I decided to share this news here, thinking you’d like to know.
Hope I'm not letting the cat out of the bag because r8shell loves her cat and did not know this thread was coming.
I am grateful to r8shell for her generosity, impressed by her talent and looking forward to the possibility of acquiring additional pieces of R8’s art/work.
If anyone else has some of her work and would like to share, feel free to post them here.
Don't know the name of this style knife... Barlow, Lockback, Hunter etc. all I know is I like the way my avatar looks in scrimshaw!
What would you call it?
