I thought this one had sold, but after the original buyer had put a deposit on it... he was unable to complete the sale. It was on here quite a while ago, but here it is again.
I got some W1 in roundbar a while ago. I forged this one out and made a decent recurve. I love W2 for the hamons, but this W1 really shows some of the wispy-ness of the hamon. I like the result. I happened to nail the pictures on this one too when it came to the hamon. The spine is fileworked and the flats are left with the forge scale.
The bolster is black linen micarta and the handle is bone. The bone shines up nicely and I like the contrast. It is all held together with pins and acraglas.
The sheath is 7-8oz hand stitched and tooled leather. The knife fits snugly and draws easily.

I would like to say here that the bolsters do not line up perfectly. You can see it in this picture. It is subtle and only on the spine, they line up perfectly on the belly.
