I forged this camp knife out of a round of W1 that a guy was selling on the forum. The handle is supposed to be African blackwood, but i think im starting to question that.

The knife is very well balanced and has a forged in taper to the tang. The blade is flat ground with a slight convex edge.

So ... you're thinking perhaps the handle is a dark walnut?

Regardless, that's a fine looking knife.

thanks old physics, no not walnut, it's deffinitely blackwood, but it sure looks like some ebony ive used and seen, i had bought a bunch of instrument grade blackwood, but so far only one piece had a real nice black color to it, but the streaked looks nice to i guess :)

That looks awesome Andrew! the hamon is really nice. I'm glad that steel worked out for you...I've got to post some more up for sale...
