Hey guys here's some fresh pics of what I've been working on, all are forged W1...Tool steel grade 1095, What's not to like about that!
 The small ones are forged from 11/16" drill rod and the biggun is from 1" drill rod.
All pics on top of my 14 stone Peter Wright.
Forged 1" W1 drill rod, Copper and bone guard. Elk beam handle. there is a rosette on the back held in place with a peened copper pin.
Simple drop point recurve, forged 11/16" W1 drill rod curly Red Oak handle, I found in 1.25" dowel rod form @ Lowes. Brass Pins and Devcon 2 ton epoxy. hollow ground on my 24" wheel, 600 grit machine finish.
And my best one yet... A drop point hunter. forged from 11/16" W1 drill rod. 600 grit finish & etched in vinegar to show hamon... Fireblued tang, and bolsters, also brazed a 1/8" line on the end of the bolsters, then cleaned up and matched each side. hollow ground on my 24" wheel.
