This is a piece of W2 from a 2 1/4" cylinder, forged out and heat treated with clay for a nice bold hamon. The spine is fileworked and the flats are left with the forge scale on them.
The handle...well, it is a bit of an experiment for me. I jigged my own camel bone, and treated it with potassium permanganate. Then I added a different dye and ended up grinding off most of the jigging. There is a bit of it left, and I considered grinding it all off, but decided I kind of like the looks of the remnants of them. Anyways, the handle looks kind of like bark ivory (a sincere apology to those who have used bark ivory, I am sure it is not even in the same league) I like the results, but it remains to be seen if anyone else does.
The sheath is 8-9oz hand stitched and tooled leather. The knife fits snugly, and draws well.
Dimensions
Blade - 3 7/8" tip to handle
OAL - 8 1/4"
Price - $215 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.
The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.
