The knife came in today, and I'm in awe. The activity in the blade and the way it's set off by the killer koa, plus Nick's attention to every detail on the knife. I'm just blown away.
Thank you so much for this, Nick, and I'm so glad I thought to ask for this design. The finesse this one carries in hand is like a lightning-quick dancer compared with Joe's peerless brawler. Two unbelievably great knives.
Coop turned out some beautiful images of the knife, but I don't have the large file or I'd post them here--maybe Nick will. The video above is probably closest to the experience of holding the knife in hand, but it still doesn't capture how exquisite this wood really is.
I'd appreciate recommendations from you guys on what I need to do on the W2 to keep the finish and the hamon looking like this--a coat of oil of any particular kind or ... ?
