I appreciate the comments. Les had a big hand in the design of the handle on the bowie. We went with my Rockhouse trail bowie blade and then Les described how he would like the handle to look and which materials he wanted. i am happy with the way the project turned out.
Below are the pair of slim Pickens that were part of this order. The slim pickens model has been a really popular style for me. While I do make them recognizable as the Slim Pickens model I don't make them cookie cutter fashion where they are all exactly the same. I can make knives exactly the same and have done it in the past on request, but I want my customers to have their own unique one of a kind Slim Pickens.
The blades are 7 1/2" of forged W2, the fittings are 416 SS and the handle is Desert Ironwood. Oal is 12 7/8"
Very nice, Craig. I see what you mean by mixing it up. Theone on top has alonger clip than mine and the one on the bottom looks like the blade is a litle wider.
