I made a few of these that were cord wrapped and got some requests to make some that had scales instead. Here is my first of that offering.

It is Aldo's W2 steel, clay quenched for a nice hamon (see last few pics). The flats are left with the forge scale on them. I like how it looks and it helps prevent rust on the flat area. The spine is fileworked.

The handle is Mesquite. It is one of the most dimensionally stable woods available. This particular piece has some light colored wood as well as some darker sections.

The sheath is 8-9oz hand stitched and hand tooled leather from Wickett and Craig. It holds the knife snugly but it can still be drawn easily.

Blade - 4" tip to handle
OAL - 8 1/2"
