Very fine looking piece I agree.
Is the clip sharp?
The blade color appears dark in the photo is the blade blued or passivated in any way?
Could you explain the patina a little further,is this something that sometimes gets sanded off?
Beauty of a knife

the clip is almost sharp it could be sharpend if you wanted it to be...i left it that way just incase it was gojng some where that double edge knives were not leagl.... to start the finish i take it to a mirror shine then etch ferric chloried then i take oooo steel wool and take off the majority of the carbon residue flush with water and repete... 3 times.... the finish is exteramly stable ....thanks glad you all like it:thumbup:

sheath is back from Don Baker...

Hello Lon,

It was my pleasure to meet you this weekend at the Columbus, Ohio show. My son and I visited your table both Saturday and Sunday and we talked for quite a while.

You really had some nice work on display. Having seen this knife first hand, I do not think that the pics do it justice. The fossil walrus tusk handle and blade pattern are stunning!

Take care.

Sincerely,
Mark
