Cutting Bowie, 10 x 2” blade of W2, 15"+ overall. Selective heat treat using clay, working 400 grit polish shows hamon well and holds up under hard use. Handle is Black Walnut (still have to apply a few more coats of finish), guard is copper with textured face to match the as forged ricasso, in short time the sides of the guard will turn a nice plum brown, matching the color of the guards textured face. Long, wide tang runs to within 1/8” of handles end for strength. Price is $575 shipped in soft case, no sheath at this time, feel free to call or email, thanks, Matt

hi all, thanks, yes it has a mortise tang, runs to within 1/8" of the end of the handle and is tapers from the width of the ricasso to about 1" at the end.... a bit overkill but rather that than some skinny little tang.

HI Russ, I have no good way here to check the ricasso thickness (im not at home, but do have the knife with me). My best guess from looking at it, about .270 or so thick at the ricasso. Im trying to find something to accurately measure with here at my girlfriends house.
