Hope everyone is having a good memorial day weekend. I've got a new knife to offer:
This is a long and slim bowie with a small swedge running most of the length of the blade. The blade is made from W2 and has been differentially heat treated. I gave the blade a light etch in ferric and a high polish to really bring out some of the detail in the hamon. The guard is 416 SS and has been soldered on. The handle is made from stabilized curly acacia and has been sculpted for a nice feel in hand. The figure on this wood looks really nice reflected in the light. The blade is razor sharp and comes with a nice hand tooled black leather sheath, suitable for vertical carry.
OAL: 11"
Blade Length: 6"
Blade Width: 1.25"
Blade Thickness: 1/4" with a strong distal taper
